Lily's first time trick or treating. She loves candy. My kids had great costumes this year. I have an army soldier, shaolin monk and a pretty butterfly.

14 Years Old

Riley turn 14 on October 18. We had an airsoft battle for his party and it was fun.

Saber Fight

Wesley had a friend sleep over last night and they came up with a quick light saber fight scene. This is Wesley's 2nd attempt in action choreography.

Night At The Fights

Wesley's CCC Performance was great. He displayed a quick 3 sectional staff set (1.56) which he is learning from Sal Redner (http://www.wushushaolin.com/). The performance also introduced the Soulistic Stars (the youngest of the group).

Angel Island

Riley and I went with the Junior High school group to Angel Island for 2 Docent led classes (Immigrants and Civil War). They had the chance to fire a canon which is a first experience for us. I hope he takes the lessons he learned about prejudice against the Chinese Immigrants and the Colored Civil War Soldiers to heart. I am glad we live in the Bay Area where he can learn about our different world cultures first hand.

Portland Wedding

It was a long trip on the road but was well worth it. Jing and Chadd's Wedding was amazing. From the spectacular views, awesome weather, Wesley taking control of the dance floor and Riley driving the golf cart after 2 cups of coffee it was good times.

Shockwaves

Riley played really aggressive on his first soccer game for the season. They lost by 1 goal which was really offsides but the ref missed the call. I need to have Riley play more pickup games with some of my friends at work. This should take him to the next level. Picture day was today and it went really smooth. Lily even fell asleep on my back for a few mins.

Start of a new Wushu School

Decided to start posting to my blog. Wesley has been doing great in his new Wushu school. I think the conditioning is working wonders. I can see the difference when he does his other sports. I was originally worried that it would cause problems with his Kajukembo but Wesley learns body movement and body memory so easily that the 2 sports end up complimenting each other. He did his first Wushu Demo during the Cancer Association 24 hour relay in Pinole back in August and his team did very well.
